I want to buy a bunch of classic board games but don’t feel like paying retail since its the same new or used. I am also looking for interesting used thrift (non-clothing and non-household) stores to buy cheap books, games, toys, etc. Basically one of those stores you can spend hours in, buy interesting stuff and wont break the bank.

Any recommendations?

   Half Price Book Store has a wide variety of all that you mentioned. In Austin they’re at 1006 S. Lamar, 2929 S. Lamar, and 8868 Research Blvd. I’ve only been to the ones around Dallas and San Antonio, but they all seem to be well stocked with those items. Generally, their prices are at least half of what you would expect to pay for new ones.
