I’m working on a paper and am citing a paperback book. The hardback version has a different number of pages, so citations do not correspond across versions.
Thus, when I cite the paperback, is there a special designation to note that my source is the paperback and not the hardback?
Thanks in advance for the assistance.
No but if all of the publication data is absolutely identical between the hardcover and softcover editions (which is unusual) you might note "softcover edition" in your bibliography or in the first citation.
