  • How do the paperback Harry Potter books hold out?

Posted by admin on January 20th, 2010 and filed under paperback books | 4 Comments »

I’m going to get the first six Harry Potter books at Wal-Mart for $25.50 (:D), but they are paperback. Since the last four books are pretty large, how do they hold out as paperback books? Do they fall apart, or are they durable. Thanks in advance.

I have 6 of 7 of the books in paper back and I have found that for the first 4 they have held up extremely well. Now, for the 5th one, I can’t say any where near that, but that is only because my brother and I have read it so many times that it’s cover and first few pages have fallen off, however the other ones I have read numerous times and are still in great condition.

Hope this helps (and hope you enjoy owning these fabulous books!)

I left my paperback (book 6) out in a rainstorm.

After it dried out it was a little warped but fine. DIdn’t lose one page out of it. I also got it at wal-mart. So its’ pretty durable.

I only have two of the Harry Potter books in hard back. My copy of the first book is a paperback and I’ve had it since 2002. It has held up fantastically, as have all the other editions I have.

Honestly, I think the only way to really destroy a paperback is to treat it poorly (ie: bend it, throw it around, let ot get wet, etc.). As with anything else, if you treat it with care, it should last.

      Hope you enjoy the books!

I have the first two books in paperback and the rest in hardcover. Ironically I’ve had more trouble with one of the hardcover books because the binding fell apart a bit (I may have dropped it a couple of times though)

Paperback is definitely a good choice. Cheap and durable
