Browser’s Book Store sold 864 items last week. They sold twice as many magazines as paperback books, and five times as many paperback books as hardbound books. How many of each product was sold?
No. of hardbound books sold—x:
x + 5x + 2(5x) = 864
6x + 10x = 864
16x = 864
x = 54
No. of paperback books sold:
= 5(54)
= 270
No. of magazines sold:
= 2(5[54])
= 2(270)
= 540
Answer: magazines, 540; paperback books, 270, hardbound books, 54

Okay I hope this helps:
1) Y=paper back books
2y= Magazines
y/5 =hardbound books.
2) y+2y+y/5=864. You can solve from there
