  • Where can I read old and new books online for free?

Posted by admin on May 23rd, 2010 and filed under new books | 5 Comments »

Want to know if there is anywhere onlilne I can old and new books onlilne for free.

Other places to visit for older books, published before 1923,

    http://manybooks.net
    http://www.munseys.com
    http://www.feedbooks.com
    http://www.webliterature.net
    http://www.fullbooks.com

Then do a search for "free e-books" and you will find many more links.

Newer books are under copyright protection, so you will have a much harder time finding free e-book versions. The exception is to visit the website of your local library for legal, newer downloads.

Books are rarely offered legally on-line for free.

I recommend checking out writing communities for stories available on-line for free.

Has some links to writing communities: http://sites.google.com/site/allusionsanddreams/home/resources-1

Well, you can only legally read a book online once it is in ‘public domain’; which is the term used for a piece of literature more than a hundred years old.
You can read full copies of these book on this website: http://books.google.co.uk/

And you do not have to download them.
