Bella wakes feeling in pain – physically and emotionally – anxious about Edward’s possible thoughts while she slept. When she gets to school, Bella feels anxious about Edward’s “off” behavior. She hopes to get some insight from Alice later in the day. But Alice is nowhere to be found at lunch – apparently she’s with Jasper and they’ve gone away for awhile to Denali where another covenant of “good” vampires live. This makes Bella feel horrible about breaking up the Cullen family …

What do you guys think of the Edward-Bella Breakup? Did Edward do the right thing or was he too harsh on Bella, I mean taking away the CD and photos? He must have known this was going to kill her. And Knowing how clumsy Bella is, maybe a phone breakup would have been better, What do you guys think?

I think was a …
I think was a little too harsh on Bella by taking away everything that reminded her of him. Even though he did take away everything the break-up was going to be a big void in her chest because she loved him so much and he loved her in return. When this happened I cried so bad because I know how it feels to have someone just leave and take everything with them.

He only left cause …
He only left cause he wanted her to be safe but he did it to harsh and in the wrong way because Bella really suffers.

It was a harsh time …
It was a harsh time for me too, when Edward left her.. saying “you are not enough” ….a depressing moment, but his eyes were saying the contrary… he was just fighting his feelings… I cried as well… awful!!!

this chapter was so much intense emotionally. i cried and cried while reading it.i think Edward was harsh, he should have known if the break up was so painful for him it must be for her too.

Edward totally distroyed her , he knew she wouldnt get over him , he said at the end of the book that he knew she wouldnt let go . But then again it was only in her best interest and he still loved her as much as he did before the paper cut .

I got mad, though I knew he would come back because there are four books not two.
And he didnt take away her gifts and pictures. He hid them in her floorboards. O.O

the break up wasn’t bad but edawrd was a little harsh he should of at least left her the cd as a reminder of him now she doesn’t listen to music! thats just wrong! i wouldn’t be able to stand a day without music!

Edward did wats best for Bella. Edward is being harsh because he doesn’t wan to hurt Bella. But taking away the cd, photos and scrap book is way too harsh.

edward was doing it for bella but.. he was harsh.. he left her thinking that she will be safe, but not knowing that she can be in much trouble without him… but also she did have jacob…
ok..i think it’s harsh but he did not really took away bella’s gifts and memories of him.. it is just hidden in her romm (can’t say where)..hehehe
