Almost no Christians have read the Bible, an interesting irony given that it is purported to be the source of their religion.
When you do read the Bible, its like entering a mad house. The books of Moses are a bloodbath from beginning to end. The God of Moses appears to be a volcano, and worships in an orgy of blood and dismembered animals.
Then you get on to Jesus, and things really dont improve much. Jesus states that all the old laws about burning witches etc, given to Moses by God still stand, and Jesus spends most of his time healing the sick, casting out demons and preaching. The irony being that even after he gives his disciples magic powers to cast out demons, many of them still doubt that he is the son of God.
Anyway, this video just cuts out one short segment of the Bible, about witches, wizards and demons. All form part of the narrative of Jesus and God in the Bible. Remove these, and you rip out the credibility of the book on its big claims about Gods, and Sons of Gods and you reduce the Bible to merely a story book.
It is my reckoning that people can identify Harry Potter as a work of fiction. Why then should people struggle so much in identifying the Bible as a work of fiction?

God bless you and …
God bless you and Thunderf00t and I hope and pray that the two of you may develop a strong desire to seek out the truth rather than dismiss everything because you don’t want to take the time ti understand it or because it doesn’t fit with your desire to be sexually, morally, and politically free. I pray God forgives you (as He has promised), softens you heart and opens your eyes.

Yet, your little …
Yet, your little poorly constructed YouTube video has got it right? You’re willing to bet your soul on someone’s hasty determination and twisting of the scriptures wrapped up in a YouTube video that took all of 30 minutes and a GED to make? And I’m the retard?

The context wasn’t …
The context wasn’t changed one bit. What about Prophecy? Did you know that the Old Testament contained almost 300 prophecies (written over a 1,000 year span) about the coming Messiah Jesus Christ that all came true? I mean true like you can’t disprove them and neither could people at the time the book was written.

Did you know that …
Did you know that Homer’s Iliad was written in 800 B.C. and the first copies we can find are written are from 400 years after and there are many discrepancies within the copies found (643 in all). In contrast, the New Testament was written in 50 – 100 A.D. and the earliest manuscripts (5,366 of them) we can find are written between 50 to 125 years after with less than a .5% margin of error and they are considered normal errors in the coping processes as in punctuation or spelling.

Did you know it …
Did you know it contained varying literary styles such as poetry, historical narratives, songs, romance, didactic treatise, personal correspondence, memoirs, satire, biography, autobiography, law, prophecy, parable, and allegory?

Do you know how …
Do you know how English reading Christians (and other Christians reading in different languages) overcome this? There are more than 13 different translations ranging from exact word translations to exact meaning translations with of course variations in between.

Did you know that …
Did you know that the bible was written in Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek and the original translations (or closets to the original writings we can find) contain over 11,000 words? Did you know that the English translations have just over 6,000 words?

Do you know any …
Do you know any apologetics? Apologetics is the common term for FACTS that defend the bible. If the creator of this video really wanted to take people away from God then why didn’t he refute any facts? Why didn’t he try to learn WHY the bible said those things before he tried to use them to mock Christianity? I mean come with something of sustenance.

Demons? You likely …
Demons? You likely believe in ghosts and aliens but not demons, huh? Demons, as well as satan, occupy this earth with us, as it says in the bible. How can you refute something you’ve never read without bias?

The bible gives no …
The bible gives no validity to so called “witches and sorcerers”. It never says that they are capable of anything supernatural. In fact, the bible only credits them with trickery, deception, and selfish intent which draws people from God and encourages them to worship false idols. It’s funny, you chop up wood, use it to cook your food, and then carve your own God out of it. And I’m the retard?

And this YouTube hack is going to win his case using 10 misinterpreted phrases out of the bible and a comparison using Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings? And I’m the retard?

Do you even know …
Do you even know how many languages it was written in? How many books are there and when were they written? Why is it called the cannon? Do you know anything about the bible other than what is written in some obscure blog with all of 17 readers? Can you find any proof, outside of an internet hoax, that there is no truth to the bible? Scholars, using a far more educated approach have been trying to discredit the bible for years and can’t do it.

I mean really, …
I mean really, Divinical Manhood? Sick dialog? Some sort of morality? HAVE YOU EVER READ THE BIBLE? The bible contains some of the greatest poetry ever written and some of the greatest wisdom man has ever known. Do you have any idea what it says? And the Lord of the Rings is better written? Are you kidding? This is a big joke. I’m not even going to answer the question “if there were no credits”.

I mean, if you …
I mean, if you truly felt this way and were honest about sharing your faith or lack-there-of why would you resort to such underhanded tactics?
July 8th, 2010 at 4:31 pm
Why would you call …
Why would you call me a retard? I didn’t reference Lord of the Rings at all. I responded to the fact that we know Harry potter wasn’t real because the special effect studio is in the credits of the movie. The person who created this video calls the validity of the bible into question and all they can do is take bits and pieces and use them out of context. Clearly their intent was to confuse and deceive.

@socoduce Just wondering what you thought was confusing about the video. It seemed pretty straight forward to me.
And about Potter….Had there been no credits at the end of the movie, would you have believed the movie was depicting reality?
July 8th, 2010 at 4:31 pm
@socoduce -_- …
@socoduce -_- you’re a retard man i dont think you even watched the video based on what you just typed, and you do realize that lord of the rings was a book way B4 it was a movie right
July 8th, 2010 at 4:31 pm
What were you …
What were you trying to accomplish with this? You too small pieces out of the bible and skewed their meaning for your own purpose. The entire video made no sense unless you goal was to confuse the viewer. And we know Happy Potter was special effects because of the credits at the end of the move stating what company created them!

@BathoryVictim …
@BathoryVictim thats not my point. My point is u r taking the word of a bunch of primitve medieval stupid sheep herders ovr modern day scientists. How did the people who wrote the bible know that god exists? They were just trying to explain the universe through watevr means they could howevr there means were wrong. There is not one gram of proof that god exists but there is plenty that evolution is real, which it is. U hav a very closed mind and will nevr accept reality.

@ParadigmShifter29 …
@ParadigmShifter29 Likewise,
well most modern day people don’t like too dwell into subjects like this, they just want the answers, and don’t want to do any of the ‘work’ (which is thinking deeply) Thunderf00t and your ideas fit close to mine, but I’m still dwelling on this subject as of now, and thank you for the compliment. Youtube is such a strange place.

Thank you, I truly appreciate your comments. And likewise, there are not many like you on here.
I can see why his videos are appealing to people. I would wish more people would stop developing an opinion about something simply based on what the saw or heard on the internet. But you seem to have a well rounded approach to things.
