Sometimes this reasoning is very inspiring. Yet I cannot help wondering if we have a skewed view of God? What would God get from our suffering? What does He get by displaying his power via our cancer? Surely, He is a God of love, not a God of ego? There is a huge disparity in our understanding of God as to what he wants and what He gives!

OMG “Facing Your …
OMG “Facing Your Giants” by Max Lucado is the best book I have ever read in my entire life!!! This writer is so amazingly talented in seeing behind what normal people see & analyze it & somehow relate it to our own every-day life!!! He is so blessed.I just finished reading the book & all I gotta say is WOW this book has dramatically changed my life, how I see Jesus Christ in my life & how I can totally face Giants in my future, of course not alone, but only with God, my savior’s power.

Thanks, Max! Funny in a way that we sometimes forget that we all must face our giants sooner or later, whether we run from them in fear, or toward them in the power of God. Just as Peter could walk on water as long ashe looked at Jesus, but sank when he looked at the waves, so do we stand or fall by where we choose to focus.
