      I wanted him to …
I wanted him to realize that he was strong enough
to help himself, but when he told me that ‘he must’,
I just left it alone. I would only object if he tried
to start preaching to me and I know he would never
do that. He’s just not the type…..at least I hope
he isn’t. I’ve seen many a friend turn ‘born again’
who do love to just preach up a storm. One guy
informed me I should get rid of all my rock albums
      for crying out loud.

      Snuffleupagus is …
Snuffleupagus is real. You can not see because you have no fear for Snuffly. “The fear of the Snufalufagus is the beginning, middle, AND end of wisdom,” suck it timorous Abrahamic religions, afraid as you are to make outlandish claims on no evidence whatsoever!

I would never call someone who doesn’t believe in Snuffy a fool. Not my place to judge. I’m just saying, the holy Snuffleupagus has an opinion on how much of a fool you are, “Fools despise wisdom and instruction.”

      Just saying.

    3. Slugg329 Says:

      the bible does not …
the bible does not equal wisdom and it does not equal instruction, but brain washing at the sake of burning forever… its evil so sorry

    4. Slugg329 Says:

      Dont take it away. …
Dont take it away. If he needs “god” for hope or support let him believe so, there is nothing wrong with the religious peoples personal beliefs( even if it is indeed vulgar and cruel) the problem occurs when they try and spread it and teach it in schools to children. God can mean many things and if it means hope then “god bless”.. or whichever way u like to hear it.

    5. icursegodeveryday Says:

      who gives a fuck? …
who gives a fuck? and why should we believe in something as evil and repulsive as god? and know this son, your god is a hypocrite.

    6. DoucheBagster Says:

      Religion is for the …
Religion is for the weak, stupid and poor. THAT’S what the Christer at the beginning said.

      Nice…

    7. Norlick Says:

      Haha, I get it.

      Haha, I get it.
      Thumbs up.

      Oh wait, you were serious.

    8. jobw87 Says:

      After 2000 years, …
After 2000 years, why haven’t his followers who hear him use his infinite wisdom and knowledge to create a utopia on Earth? It seems our world was created by men or a Deist god and surely not the God of religion. The advancements accomplished by Earthlings, like extended life, seems to be concurrent with our medical breakthroughs and not God’s reward.

    9. kingkino1021 Says:

      Jesus is real. You …
Jesus is real. You can not see because you have no fear for the Lord. “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” Anyone who is denying Christ is operating in evil. “And to man He said, ‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; And to depart from evil is understanding.’ It’s not that Jesus did not exist. It’s the issue of your heart and faith that keeps you blind. “Fools despise wisdom and instruction.” God have mercy on all who doubt

    10. naybobdenod Says:

      well,this is …
well, this is hitchens at his real best.Even 5 against 1 cannot get him down and do you know why, because he just speaks the truth and the truth hurts as you can see with the expressions on the other guys faces :) .Its pathetic to even consider taken hitchens on

    11. benjmann2 Says:

Job or hope? No way …
Job or hope? No way you can guarantee that your kids will outlive you, ever.

    12. benjmann2 Says:

      Whate contemporary …
Whate contemporary writers are there of that time period?

    13. Truth118 Says:

      @paulusmagirl

      @paulusmagirl
Tell him that you’ll pray for him.
He’ll feel better psychologically, even if you do or don’t.
This was talked about in the God Delusion.
      Hope this helps.

    14. paulusmagirl Says:

      I have a friend who …
I have a friend who is at rock bottom.Hes now in
some sort of help clinic based on spiritual healing
among other things. He told me he’s been so far two
months without drinking or drugs and he is looking
to god for this help.I tell him that the strength
he has found is from himself and not anything else,
and that he doesn’t need god for it.
He tells me he must have god or he is lost.
He has never said one word to me before about god.
What can you say to that?I can’t take away his
      only hope.

    15. PookySan1 Says:

      lol so true
      lol so true

    16. icursegodeveryday Says:

      “The horrible …
“The horrible parody of the idea of fatherhood. I have three children. They don’t want to see me die, but I’m sure I’m not going to see them die. This father says I’ll never get out of the way, you’ll be dead and I’ll still be here. This is the hideous, tyrannical parody. It’s not the still small voice of compassion. It is the utter arrogance of absolute power.”

      Brilliant.

    17. Esr700 Says:

      Not to mention….

      Not to mention….

If Freizil dies before ever reading the bible or knowing the story of Jesus, Not only will she have gone through rape and hideous torture during this lifetime, she will also burn in once she dies for not taking in Jesus as her lord and savior.

      Moral?

    18. AMP3G Says:

      I always tried …
I always tried building more police stations, but could never afford the power lines to power them :(

    19. TheMJtheGOD Says:

      The Biggest …
The Biggest Catholic Asshole???? You must be referring to Pope Ratzinger!!!!!! He is definitely the BIGGEST CATHOLIC ASSHOLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    20. TheMJtheGOD Says:

      Jesus is a real …
Jesus is a real entity. In fact, Jesus is many entities!!!! You think Jesus is part of only a “Trinity”????? That is a fraction of the story! Half of the “guests” enjoying the largesse of the American “penal hospitality system” are Jesus!!! If Mojo Nixon truly believed that “Elvis is everywhere”, is true, then he will be astounded by the ubiquity or Jesus!!!!!!!!!

    21. ziggy08xx Says:

      I know many …
I know many Catholics and they all believe in heaven and that they will go the after they die. Even the biggest Catholic thinks that too.
So you can see what we are against.
      lmao

    22. Ambidexter143 Says:

There are no, as in …
There are no, as in ZERO, mentions of Jesus by contemporary writers.

Hey, it’s not my fault. Don’t whine at me because Jesus is possibly a fictitious character.

    23. jazzx251 Says:

      It’s a bit like …
It’s a bit like playing Sim City.

What do you do when your town goes pear-shaped?

Why – put yourself in the game and have yourself executed of course!

    24. rappydo2 Says:

      Only ten authors …
Only ten authors mention Tiberias Ceasar the Ceasar of Rome during Jesus life.

Ratio of 42:10 and we do not doubt the existence of Tiberias.

Anyone that tells you that Jesus never existed is most likely extremely uninformed to the evidence or ignoring it.

    25. rappydo2 Says:

      Very few Atheists …
Very few Atheists make the assertion that Jesus didn’t exist. Atheists dispute Jesus claim to be God and the miracles he did.

42 authors mention Jesus within 150 years of his life.

9 New Testament; 20 Early Christian; 4 Heretical Writers; 9 Non-Christian sources (Josephus, Tacitus, Pliny the Younger, Phlegon, Lucian, Celsus, Mara Bar-Serapion, Seutonius, Thallus)
