- Sorry, I am … – Sorry, I am German, I dont know the common “technical terms” you have for those things.
by the way, you are right. Hostilities suck so much. Most Christians are not able to let you find your way, to let you be as you are. They always try to force you into patterns.
So many Christians are so ridiculously afraid of that God they believe loves them no matter what… that they try to fiercely slay every smallest sapling of individual performance.
I find it very … I find it very revealing when he calls this life “miserable”. Another fine glimpse into the self-loathing mind of the religious drone, and yet another fine case in point of how religion poisons the mind.
and how about … and how about reading the entire Bible. After all, that’s all we need to refute, right? Not so hard, either. BJOH249 can suck Jesus’s cock.
@sugarbrownrabbit … @sugarbrownrabbit Some of them, but not most of them. They’re mor elike “the uplifting story of some one who was sad before jesus and happy after”
I wonder how many … I wonder how many Christian books that Big John guy has read? Most Atheist seem to know more about Christianity than Christians. I guess if they knew more…then they wouldn’t be Christians.
i would love to see … i would love to see your collection in vid. it’s funny how these books were amazing revelations to me back in the day, and now , lol.
Oh, looking a bit … Oh, looking a bit more closely I see Michael Rose’s diatribe “Goodbye, Good Men”, “Mary: Another Redeemer?” by James White; Walter Martin’s old tome “Kingdom of the Cults” (I remember buying that many moons ago — seems like another world), an anthology of essays on the resurrection that emerged from the so-called “Resurrection Summit” here in NYC back in the mid-1990s (my introduction to William Lane Craig), Bonhoeffer’s “The Cost of Discipleship”, Ratzinger’s “Called to Communion”, and…
Great! The Joyce … Great! The Joyce Meyer books made me laugh. Her popularity mystifies me. Many of my Christian books are in boxes somewhere. But I just did a scan of a set of bookshelves here and spotted: several of Augustine’s and Aquinas’s greatest hits; an anthology of Martin Luther’s writings (right next to “The Marx-Engels Reader”); Pat Robertson’s “The Secret Kingdom”; “Mystery of the Ages” by Herbert W. Armstrong; “Mere Christianity” by C.S. Lewis; & Robert Schuller’s “The Be-Happy Attitudes” (LOL!).

You got a point …
You got a point here, hooked me. I dont want to bullshit you, I am def. christian, ok. And yea, I do swear.
But thats not my topic here. What is of interest to me… Did you read all those books?? (dang, thats much reading done).
Just interested in your personal story, since you seemingly are ok with sharing this part. I wont try to “reconvert” you or stuff, no worries.
So did you experience that thing described maybe as “personal salvation through Jesus”?
Were you baptized as an adult?

Best book I ever …
Best book I ever read was ‘Vipers’ Tangle’ by Francois Mauriac. Catholic propaganda incarnate.
Only other Christian works of note I’ve read are the Divine Comedy, Paradise Lost and some of Kirkegaard’s works.

CS Lewis is the …
CS Lewis is the most overrated author ever. The only reason people like him is because Christians give him a cult following.
