I want to find good books that have been released in the last 3 years or so for $7 or less. And if there’s a shipping price it should be low too. I don’t care if the books are new or used. I don’t want text books either.
Amazon.com. Shipping is about 3.99 per book, so it can add up if you buy it from retailers. If you use Amazon as the retailer then shipping is free for orders over $25. I’ve bought some really cheap new books. I don’t buy used books from there, but I know sometimes the used books will be more than the new books.
I used to buy books all the time, and many of them I haven’t even read but don’t plan to anymore. The ones that I have read still look brand new. So I’m wondering if there is a good way to get rid of them and maybe get some money back for them or support a really good cause. Are there any organizations looking for book donations, or good sites to sell them on, or something?
You could take them to a used book shop. They usually have a trade policy.
Your local library would love to have new stock.
A public school library or hospital would also be a good choice.
There are book swap sites where you can trade your books that you no longer want. Try http://bookmooch.com/
Having a book fair with children’s used books and want to have a place to donate those that we don’t sell. Are there any other places – hospitals, schools besides Salvation Army in Northern NJ that would take them?
Try:
The library
Homeless shelters
Good Will
Purple Heart
pediatricians offices
OBGYN offices
the local Health Department or Child Welfare Agency, Social Services
Good luck

I’m looking to buy some quality used books online for good prices, not rip offs. Looking for some suggestions for good sites? Thanks!
www.half.com is the best in my opinion…you can get books as cheap as 75 cents..depends on the book and how long its been out. and the person selling the book lists them as Brand new/like new/good/acceptable/poor so you know close to what you are getting.
Or any company that sells used books in bulk in the UK.
I have been told there is a company in Leicester that sells used books by weight. I would appreciate it anyone could tell me their name or the name of any company that sells used books in bulk?
You want a paper recycler.
I want to purchase used textbooks so that I may be able to save on book costs. However, I’m afraid I might get worn out books and find them useless for me. Has any of you ever experienced purchasing used books online? What do you recommend I do?
Books are indeed very important for you to be able to complete your subjects with flying colors – or at least be able to pass them. However, just because you are purchasing used books doesn’t mean you will be able to save some money.
First of all, there are some used books that are in a really bad state. Some pages are missing or the cover is completely detached. Some used books are also very old versions. Sometimes, you think you have saved a lot, but when the book arrives, you also have to spend some money on having them repaired for them to be useful and presentable enough for yourself.
I have nothing against used books, as some sellers really offer books in fine condition. If the book has been taken cared of extremely well, the price would be around 70% of the original price of the book, or you would save only up to 30%. That doesn’t save you much or that isn’t much different, right?
One option is for you to just rent some books. Why? Because you can be sure that you will save some money. In fact, you can save up to 75%. The good thing about renting books is that you can be confident that you will be getting books that are in good condition. If not, you can simply return the item and ask for a replacement. For book renting, the best I have tried so far is http://www.bookrenter.com. I can really recommend that site to you. I am not an affiliate; I just want to share my good experiences.
I have many used books i dont read anymore. Does anyone know of a good website so i can sell my books?
eBay?
..
I am looking for used book stores in eastern Massachusetts that will buy used books from the average joe. I have only found one or two used book stores that will buy a person’s used books, and it’s a bit of a drive for me to get to either one, so any suggestions are welcome.
There’s one in Arlington center on Medford St/route 60, half a block from Mass Ave near the Regent theatre
