Jesse Ventura tells it like it is, and this time he tackles our governments biggest secrets. In this explosive account of wrongful acts and on-going cover-ups, Jesse Ventura takes a systematic look at the wide gap between what the American government knows and what it reveals to the American people. For too long, we the people have sat by and let politicians and bureaucrats from both parties obfuscate and lie. And according to this former Navy SEAL, former pro wrestler, and former Minnesota governor, the media is complicit in these acts of deception. For too long, the mainstream press has refused to consider alternate possibilities and to ask the tough questions. Here, Ventura looks closely at the theories that have been presented over the years and separates the fact from the fiction.
In Venturas eyes, the murder of Abraham Lincoln and the assassinations of the Kennedys and Martin Luther King, all need to be re-examined. Was Watergate presented honestly, or was the CIA involved? Did the Republican Party set out to purposefully steal two elections on behalf of George W. Bush? Has all the evidence been presented about the 9/11 attacks or is there another angle that the media is afraid to explore? And finally, is the collapse of todays financial order and the bailout plan by the Federal Reserve the widest-reaching conspiracy ever perpetrated?
If youre talking outspoken, unconventional, and no-holds-barred, youre talking Jesse Ventura.—Larry King
I wouldnt mind seeing Ventura run for president (or for senator, or dog-catcher, or whatever). In addition to talking conspiracy, hes likely to raise all sorts of other trouble.—Damon W. Root, Reason Magazine . I can’t seem to find a site that has newer books for free. They’re either older books for free or newer books for money.
That life in the digital fast lane. Borrow them on CD from your local public library and rip them.
Stephen King talks about his new book, Duma Key.
Book Description:
No more than a dark pencil line on a blank page. A horizon line, maybe. But also a slot for blackness to pour through…
A terrible construction site accident takes Edgar Freemantle’s right arm and scrambles his memory and his mind, leaving him with little but rage as he begins the ordeal of rehabilitation. A marriage that produced two lovely daughters suddenly ends, and Edgar begins to wish he hadn’t survived the injuries that could have killed him. He wants out. His psychologist, Dr. Kamen, suggests a “geographic cure,” a new life distant from the Twin Cities and the building business Edgar grew from scratch. And Kamen suggests something else.
“Edgar, does anything make you happy?”
“I used to sketch.”
“Take it up again. You need hedges… hedges against the night.”
Edgar leaves Minnesota for a rented house on Duma Key, a stunningly beautiful, eerily undeveloped splinter of the Florida coast. The sun setting into the Gulf of Mexico and the tidal rattling of shells on the beach call out to him, and Edgar draws. A visit from Ilse, the daughter he dotes on, starts his movement out of solitude. He meets a kindred spirit in Wireman, a man reluctant to reveal his own wounds, and then Elizabeth Eastlake, a sick old woman whose roots are tangled deep in Duma Key. Now Edgar paints, sometimes feverishly, his exploding talent both a wonder and a weapon. Many of his paintings have a power that cannot be controlled. When Elizabeth’s past unfolds and the ghosts of her childhood begin to appear, the damage of which they are capable is truly devastating.
The tenacity of love, the perils of creativity, the mysteries of memory and the nature of the supernatural — Stephen King gives us a novel as fascinating as it is gripping and terrifying.

I am overseas- and want to have a new/gently used bookstore for children and home schooling parents. I also want to have a mobile bookstore (bookmobile) to take to schools. (The mobile bookstore may happen first!) I need to order about 10,000 used/like new books. I saw a few lots on ebay but all less than 200 books. I need fiction and non-fiction, board books, beg. readers, popular story books, chapter books, science, animals, math, history, arts and crafts, home school curriculum books, how to help children with special needs-esp. autism and cerebral palsey, educational cd’s, and much more. Scholastic, Golden books, Troll, DK, Harcourt, Zoobooks, Usborne, Time childrens books etc. I want books to get children excited about reading and learning and to keep them reading and to help parents too. Thank you for any help you may have.
I suggest starting with new books only. Take trade-ins for store credit to get your used book stock; that way you are not hosed with severely damaged copies bought sight unseen.
Depending on where oversees you are, there should be plenty of book distributors to fill your needs. In the United States, Ingram Entertainment is the largest media distributor around-handling books, music, and DVDs. Unfortunately, you can not combine media types on your orders (books orders are separate from movie orders and music orders). However, Ingram is pretty easy to set-up with. I don’t know how extensive their inventory is for books and music; but they have an incredible supply of DVDs and VHS (just make sure the regional formatting works where you are).
According to some our planet is about to change and become something unfamiliar to us all. Some say that a massive star may be coming our way and it may have a profound effect on our planet. Has this happened before? Some say it has and is going to happen again. At this presentation at Brave New Books in Austin, Texas, Lucus presents indications of this coming destroyer star and connects it to the Denver New World Airport.

New books are under copyright protection. Unless the authors put them online somewhere for free, or your local library has e-book versions available for download, you are probably out of luck.
Sites that scan copyrighted books and make them available with no payment to the author are inconsiderate to the author, and they’re illegal. You would not want that to happen to your book.

So anything related to these. Any good ideas? I’m always up for something new!

x. Things Not Seen by Andrew Clements
x. Inkheart by Cornelia Funke
x. So Far From the Bamboo Grove by Yoko Watkins
