  • What is a good website that allows you to read books online?

Posted by admin on July 4th, 2010 and filed under books online | 3 Comments »

I’m just looking for a website that would let me read books online without having to pay for it. Any suggestions would be helpful.

http://www.gutenberg.org/catalog/ – this is the best, thousands of books in many different languages and all of it is free and legit!

You might take a look at the "Free Books" section of Bookstars.info.

For older books, published before 1923, visit:

      http://www.gutenberg.org
      http://manybooks.net
      http://www.webliterature.net
      http://www.munseys.com
      http://www.feedbooks.com
      http://www.fullbooks.com

Then do a search for "free e-books" and you will find many more links.

Newer books are under copyright protection, so you will have a much harder time finding free e-book editions. The exception is to visit the website of your local library for legal, newer downloads.
